  1. Arrive 45 minutes prior to procedure start. Our practice has the right to reschedule you if you are late for a procedure, and you may be charged for an office visit.
  2. You may be asked to not drink or eat for 6 hours prior to procedure, depending on procedure you are having.
  3. You MUST have your driver with you during the entire office visit. Taxi cabs, buses, or other forms of patient pickup are not permitted.
  4. List of conditions to be discussed with physician if you have one of them
    • Blood disorders that cause bleeding or clotting
    • Active cancer
    • Psychiatric disorder including PTSD
    • Heart disorders on blood thinning medications
    • Infections or cold
    • Poor experiences with prior injections

MEDICATIONS TO HOLD BEFORE PROCEDURE

PPP asks that you discuss holding your medications with your prescribing physician before doing so. We do not condone holding medications without first obtaining permission from the prescribing physician.

  1. Medications that should have been held prior to procedure. Please notify our staff which medications you are on and which were not held prior to procedure.
  2. Medications to be held after any procedure with contrast or dye (TFESI, SI, LSB, Celiac, etc)

POST PROCEDURE PATIENT INFORMATION

  1. You will be monitored after the procedure until the physician feels you are in stable condition to leave under supervision of a competent adult.
  2. Reasons to contact physician:
    • Fever
    • Excruciating pain (especially worsening back pain)
    • Bowel or bladder changes
    • Arm or leg weakness
    • Changes in speech
    • Headache in standing position, FULLY relieved by lying down
    • Confusion, disorientation, change in mental status
